One of the most common situations in which engraving on glass is used is the personalization of glasses and bottles. Unlike plexiglass or other plastics, the glass is prickly like marble and granite. This results in the creation of small scratches on the surface of the glass that reflects the light or appear differently colored, as in the case of sandblasting.
